The Barbara and Richard Rosenberg Institute for Marine Biology and Environmental Science presents these free public programs each year.
• The Rosenberg Institute Seminar Series - Our weekly science seminars bring together our academic community and the public to hear about emerging research from leading scholars and professionals in marine and environmental science. Come learn about the new discoveries, technologies and solutions that people are working on now to address environmental challenges and enhance our knowledge of the natural world.
• The Rosenberg Institute Public Forum Series - Twice a year we convene a public forum on a new and innovative topic in marine biology or environmental science. The forums feature presentations by thought leaders, graduate student led interviews, and an open session for questions and discussion with the audience. The program includes a reception with our guest speaker and light refreshments. The public forum series provides a unique opportunity for community members to engage with renowned experts and deepen their understanding of environmental issues and solutions. • Discovery Day! - For over a quarter of a century, our Discovery Day has been a local community tradition enjoyed by people of all ages. Our faculty, students and staff invite you into the marine laboratory to do hands-on science activities, touch and see local marine life, learn about the ecology of SF Bay and our outer coast, and explore the technologies we use to study the ocean and the species that live there. Join us in exploring the science of the sea at our next Discovery Day!
